10 biggest NFL draft busts in Clemson football history

With the season over, players are declaring for the NFL draft, but these are a few cautionary tales of Tigers who went to the NFL and it didn't quite work out.

It seemed like a pretty significant reach when the Raiders took Ferrell at No. 4 in 2019, but that doesn’t mean everyone expected him to be a complete bust. 

Ferrell started 15 games as a rookie and finished with 4.5 sacks and eight tackles for loss. In 2020, he took a step back, not forward, with two sacks in 11 games. Over four years with the Raiders, Ferrell total 10 sacks. 

Ferrell was picked up by the 49ers for the 2023 season, in hopes of revitalizing his career.
