Over the weekend, a former Clemson baseball star made his MLB debut.

While every player remembers their first game, it was a rather unfortunate one for Logan Davidson. The former Clemson shortstop saw his first action with the Oakland Athletics, getting an at-bat as well as a chance to score the game-winning run on Saturday night against the league's best team.

Unfortunately, Davidson went 0-for-1 at the plate and then was thrown out at home in extra innings trying to score the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly.

Sunday was much different for the rookie first baseman.

After going hitless on Saturday evening with an out at home in the biggest moment of the game, Davidson bounced back to be a hero, of sorts, on Sunday afternoon against those same Phillies. He stepped up to the plate in a 1-0 game to blast a double off the wall to drive in two big runs for his first Major League hit and RBIs.

This hit helped end an 11-game losing streak for the Athletics as they had been reeling after a strong start to the year. He added another hit later in the game and Oakland would end up beating the best team in baseball thanks to his heroics.

Davidson finished 2-for-3 on the afternoon with two RBIs and through the first two appearances of his career, he's batting .500 with two runs batted in.

We'll see if he can crack the lineup on a regular basis. It'll be tough to keep him out of the lineup if he plays like he did on Sunday.
