It feels way too early to be talking about the 2025 season opener, but LSU and Clemson football will be facing off in arguably the best game of Week 1.
That's one of the most anticipated games in college football this season and fans are already marking their calendars and making sure they attend no weddings that opening week. Unfortunately, times had not been announced but that changed on Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, the Tigers vs. Tigers matchup in Death Valley will take place at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. This has since been confirmed by multiple trustworthy sources.

A 7:30 p.m. ET start at home in one of the best college football environments in the country is going to be just what fans needed to get over a long offseason. That opening kick of Clemson vs. LSU is going to feel like Christmas. It's going to feel like an airport adult beverage before a long vacation. It's going to feel like the immediate cure for offseason depression.
Clemson is considered a top-five team in the country heading into the 2025 season and LSU is approaching that level as both have elite quarterbacks leading the way.
Cade Klubnik is Dabo Swinney's guy and he's thought to be the No. 1 returning quarterback in college football while Garrett Nussmeier is right there. Unfortunately for Nussmeier, he's tasked with facing a defense with three legitimate first-round NFL Draft prospects and two of them are on that defensive line right in his face. Klubnik won't exactly have a walk in the park either.
This should be an instant classic and I can't wait for that first game under the lights at Memorial Stadium.
