Jaeden Zackery had an impressive college career that ended earlier than he would have hoped.
The Boston College transfer played his final season at Clemson and didn't disappoint. He was a sharpshooter from deep like everyone hoped he'd be, making about 36 percent of his shots from long range, and he could also fill it up from inside the arc, making 45 percent of his field goals. He finished his lone season with Clemson averaging 11.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists. It was a career year for Zackery.
Following that heartbreaking loss to McNeese in the first round, there was talk that Zackery was planning on lobbying for another year of eligibility to return to Clemson.
That, however, never came to fruition as Brad Brownell and Co. were forced to move on.
Then, Zackery was never named to an NBA Summer League team which was rather shocking given the fact he was a sharpshooting guard who had his best collegiate season in 2024-25 for the second-best team in the ACC. He did, however, just sign his first professional basketball contract this week, landing in Finland.

It's good to see that he's going to be continuing his basketball career professionally, even if it's overseas and not in the NBA like he had dreamed of doing.
And I can see him doing big things over there and eventually earning a G-League look here.
Zackery averaged over 10 points per game in each season throughout his four-year playing career between Boston College and Clemson and was always considered a sharpshooter, hitting 39 percent of his career threes. It's no surprise to see a professional team make a run at him.
