It's not often you see a one-year transfer come in and be embraced fully by his new program to where it feels like he can do no wrong, but that's exactly how Jaeden Zackery was with Clemson basketball.

Zackery came over from Boston College where he spent three years, averaging over 10 points each season. He was expected to be just a one-year rental at Clemson but following the disappointing loss to McNeese in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, Zackery said how he would love to return to Clemson if he could find another year of eligibility.

That search for another year of eligibility is still ongoing, but from the looks of it, he may have given up on that desire to return to Clemson in 2025-26.

Why? Well, because he entered his name into the transfer portal on Monday.

Zackery had a successful season at Clemson, averaging a career-best 11.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game to go along with 45 percent shooting from the floor, 36 from deep, and 82 percent from the charity stripe. He was that knockdown shooter that top teams need and he was a big reason for Clemson's 27-7 season one year removed from an Elite Eight run.

If this caught you by surprise, maybe don't Google "Ian Schieffelin transfer" because he, too, has entered his name into the portal with no eligibility left.

We'll see if either of these former Clemson players are able to find another year of eligibility because it would be almost heartbreaking to see them playing for another school next season.
