Christian Reeves, the 7-foot-2 giant who once had all of us dreaming about a dominant Clemson frontcourt, is back in the transfer portal and looking for his next home.
Reeves made it official on Tuesday after a breakout year at College of Charleston. If you followed his journey in the Upstate, you knew this was coming. The big man is finally showing off the promise that had Tiger fans buzzing when he joined Brad Brownell’s crew just two years back.
Finding His Footing in the Lowcountry
After a tough 2024-25 season in Orange and Regalia that saw him spend more time in the training room than on the court, Reeves finally got his shot this year—and he made it count. He put together a monster season for the Cougars, dropping 11.1 points, grabbing 7.8 boards, and swatting 1.4 shots a night.
Those stats weren’t just empty numbers. Reeves earned third-team All-CAA honors and sent a loud message to the rest of college basketball: he’s healthy, he’s hungry, and he’s ready to battle with the best.
A Bittersweet Journey from Clemson
Reeves has taken the long road, starting out at Duke before making his way to Tigertown. Expectations were sky-high, but injuries kept him from ever really getting going in a Clemson uniform. He logged just 145 minutes in 29 games, never quite finding his groove and averaging only 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds. It was a rough patch for a guy with his talent, but now, after what he’s done at Charleston, his stock has never been higher.
As for our Tigers, meanwhile, they are already looking ahead. After a season that ended with a gutsy fight against Iowa in the 2026 NCAA Tournament, Clemson is reloading and ready to make another run. Sure, it stings a little to see a former Tiger shining somewhere else, but Reeves’ rise just proves the kind of talent that comes through this program. He’s going to be one of the hottest true big men in the portal this year—no doubt about it.
