Less than 24 hours after losing the ACC title game to North Carolina, Clemson baseball found out who was in its region for the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The Tigers found out on Sunday night that it would be one of the 16 hosts in the regional round and they're one of just two teams in the country that have hosted the past three regionals.
So who is in Clemson's region?
West Virginia, Kentucky, and USC Upstate.
And according to Clemson's official Twitter account, the Tigers will face their first opponent on Friday at 6 p.m. ET on ACC Network. West Virginia and Kentucky play at noon earlier in the day on ESPNU.
Clemson will face USC Upstate on Friday night and if it wins, it will play the winner of the first game between Kentucky and West Virginia. The regional round is a double-elimination bracket and winning the first three games will advance a team to the Super Regional. The Tigers are looking to make their second straight Super Regional and their first College World Series since 2010.
Erik Bakich has done wonders with this program in just a few years and Clemson is back to competing for championships every year. This is right where the Tigers should be.
Although Clemson lost to North Carolina 14-4 on Sunday afternoon in the ACC Championship, they have the tools to make a deep run in the NCAA baseball tournament. They will have to solve those pitching woes that have plagued them in each of their losses this season.
