Yet another Clemson basketball transfer has found a new home.

On Wednesday, just a couple of weeks after entering the transfer portal, Christian Reeves announced that he would be committing to Charleston.

Reeves, who began his career at Duke as a highly-touted recruit, played in a career-high 29 games this past season, averaging just 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.1 minutes. In the two seasons at Duke prior to Clemson, he played in just 16 total games and scored 25 total points. He scored just 36 points at Clemson before hitting the portal.

At 7-foot-2, many were hopeful that he would turn into a serviceable big man at Clemson, but he just never quite lived up to the billing he had in high school.

Going down a level to prove himself at a quality mid-major program is probably the best move for the former four-star, top-150 recruit from Oak Hill Academy. He just never quite assimilated to the ACC and it might work out where he dominated at Charleston and becomes a legitimate big man in the smaller conference against lesser competition. Maybe it's a confidence thing.

Either way, it feels like both sides are content with this move as Clemson has already addressed needs in the post with Carter Welling, Nick Davidson, and Jake Wahlin while Reeves is heading to earn more minutes at a smaller program that could utilize him more.

It'll be interesting to see which former Tiger has the most success at their new school next season. My money is on Del Jones at Radford.
