It's still early in the summer, but kickoff times are being revealed left and right for the upcoming season and Clemson football now knows when five of its games will start.
There was a kickoff time release a couple of weeks ago and then another popped up two days ago much to the chagrin of Clemson fans.
The big rivalry game between Clemson and South Carolina will take place earlier than fans expected and also wanted but it looks like the TV networks have made their decision.

Obviously that's not what anyone expected for the biggest Clemson vs. South Carolina game in years, but ABC and ESPN have claimed a stake in this Rivalry Week showdown. This means they're planning on airing it at noon instead of a later slot which should be the case seeing as both of these teams are playoff contenders. This could end up being an elimination game in terms of a playoff spot -- more so for South Carolina as Clemson is heavily favored to win the ACC.
And fans are not happy about this time slot for the annual Palmetto Bowl.
Jesus Christ pass a law at this point to stop with it being at moon

Iโm so done with noon games, especially for this rivalry.

This is only a small fraction of the negative comments accrued on both Clemson and South Carolina's official X accounts as fans were fairly outraged with the decision to make this a noon game.
No, it ultimately doesn't matter what time the game is because all anyone will remember is the winner anyway, but if there was any year to make Clemson vs. South Carolina a primetime game, you'd think it'd be this year with two Heisman caliber quarterbacks duking it out for a chance to make the playoff would make this a no-brainer.
Kickoff times can still be changed, right? We can all hope.
