Dabo Swinney had to be jumping with joy like a kid when he found out that Amari Rodgers would be joining his favorite team growing up in the UFL.

That's right, Swinney's favorite childhood football team didn't reside in the NFL, it was in the then-USFL before it folded. And it happened to be the Birmingham Stallions. He became a big fan of the team because he loved football and Alabama doesn't have an NFL team so the fandom made sense.

Swinney then played three seasons at Alabama before getting into coaching and now he's one of the best college football has to offer.

But the Stallions have made a return.

The childhood favorite team of Swinney plays their games during the NFL's offseason and it gives fans a chance to watch football year round and that apparently includes the Clemson head coach. He says he continues to follow the Stallions and he even went to their game this past weekend to cheer on Rodgers and Birmingham.

Rodgers ended up having his best game of the season, catching three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown and after the game, his former coach gave a speech to his new team.

This was a good find by Jon Blau as Swinney was asked to speak to the team following their 26-3 win over the San Antonio Brahmas on Sunday. He spoke about how he grew up watching the Stallions in the 1980s before the league folded and how happy he is that the team is back.

Swinney also gave a shoutout to Rodgers to scoring a touchdown in the win.

Since spring ball has concluded, Swinney has landed a Clemson basketball player, hosted the Savannah Bananas, and gave a post-game speech to the Birmingham Stallions. Is there anything this man can't do?
