Clemson Tigers football... and baseball? Who would've thought that would be a legitimate combination on Saturday night as Dabo Swinney joined forces with the Savannah Bananas.
In case you're not familiar, the Savanah Bananas are one of the hottest tickets in the country right now as the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball have been touring the United States and selling out stadiums left and right. It's one of the most unique events as the Bananas are pure entertainment for the entire family.
Well, the Bananas' tour continued this past weekend in Clemson, S.C., as they decided to utilize Memorial Stadium for their latest stop and, of course, that meant a little Tigers touch.
The Bananas sold out Memorial Stadium as the field was constructed on the turf. This was also an opportunity for the Bananas to utilize head coach Dabo Swinney who actually ran the team down the hill and out onto the field much like he does every Saturday in the fall.
Check out the cool moment:
Swinney, a family man himself, enjoyed himself plenty, as you can see from the video above, as he greeted the Bananas off the bus, met with them at the top of the hill, and ran down to a sell-out crowd cheering him on and you could tell he loved every second of it.
It was cool to see the Bananas include Swinney because how could you not? One of the best coaches in the country was available to run the Bananas down the hill for one of the coolest traditions in college football. Of course he wanted to do this for fans.
What made this even better? This was the Bananas' first-ever college stadium game. Perfect.
