June is heating up on the recruiting trail, and you better believe Dabo Swinney is back at it, mining that North Carolina gold to keep Clemson’s defensive front as nasty as ever.

Andrew Rogers, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound pass-rushing nightmare out of Grimsley High in Greensboro, is set to make his way to Tiger Town June 12–14. The Tigers haven’t pulled the trigger on an offer just yet, but you can bet the house that when this four-star phenom steps on campus, Dabo and company will be ready to roll out the orange carpet and make it official.

A Wrecking Ball with ACC Pedigree

Rogers already knows what ACC football is all about. He was once committed to Virginia Tech, even reclassifying to 2026 to fast-track his path to the big stage. But when the Hokies hit the reset button with a coaching change, Rogers hit pause, reopened his recruitment, and returned to his original 2027 class—putting him right back in the Tigers’ crosshairs.

If Clemson lands Rogers, it’s not just about size—it’s about production. This kid put up video game stats as a sophomore at Dudley: 76 tackles, 34 tackles for loss, and a jaw-dropping 23 sacks. Then he transferred to powerhouse Grimsley, helped them win a 7A state title, and still racked up 50 tackles and 8 sacks as a junior. The numbers don’t lie—this is the kind of difference-maker Tiger fans dream about.

The "Elite Retreat" Connection

The Clemson staff has had their eyes on Rogers since he showed up at the Elite Retreat back in March, and since then, the Tigers have surged to the front of the pack. Sure, he’s got offers from the likes of Georgia, LSU, and Notre Dame, but right now, the only other official visit on his calendar is James Madison. Clemson is sitting pretty heading into June.

Scouts rave about Rogers’ size, length, and that basketball background that gives him freaky athleticism off the edge. With in-state stud Jaden Wuerth already in the fold for 2027, adding Rogers would give Dabo another high-upside weapon to keep the Orange Crush defense terrorizing offenses for years to come.

A Loaded June Weekend

Rogers won’t be making the trip to Tiger Town alone. He’ll be rolling in with a crew of top 2027 targets, including:

  • Seth Tillman: 4-star DL (Rock Hill, S.C.)
  • Desmond Malpress: 4-star Edge (Jacksonville, Fla.)
  • Kalib Spivey: 3-star Edge (Alexander City, Ala.)

With linebacker Max Brown and cornerback Chris Chancellor Jr. already on board for 2027, snagging a commitment from Rogers would send a thunderous message to the rest of the ACC: Clemson’s not just reloading, we’re coming for the crown.
