One of the metrics college football followers use to gauge a season's success is whether or not a team eclipses ten wins. For years, that was the bare minimum for Clemson. However, in 2023, the Tigers fell under ten wins for the first time since 2010, and this year, Clemson needed a win in the ACC championship to reach the mark.
While the last two seasons have been slightly disappointing, one national outlet believes the Tigers could come roaring back in 2025. Brad Crawford of 247Sports made a list of ten "unstoppable" teams in 2025, including Clemson.
Crawford cites quarterback Cade Klubnik returning as one reason why Clemson could be a contender next season but insists it's the talented young receivers that could make the offense "unstoppable." "[Klubnick] and the Tigers have a pair of budding superstars at wideout with T.J More and Bryant Wesco Jr. flashing as true freshmen," wrote Crawford.
On the defensive side, he calls Clemson's defensive line "one of the country's most-talented defensive fronts," with TJ Parker, Peter Woods, and Purdue transfer Will Heldt anchoring the front seven.
While Crawford makes some great points, he doesn't even mention the biggest returners. Antonio Williams is one. He's the Swiss Army Knife of the offense as the only player with a receiving, rushing, and passing touchdown under his belt in 2024. The Tigers also return freshman star Sammy Brown and veteran Wade Woodaz at linebacker.
The nine other "unstoppable" teams joining Clemson are Florida, UNLV, Syracuse, Texas, Auburn, Ohio State, LSU, Oregon, and Notre Dame.
