While their Death Valley (132.8 dB) is slightly louder than LSU's other Death Valley (130 dB), who saw Williams-Brice Stadium being louder than a drum? Sadly, South Carolina has the loudest stadium in the state...

- Williams-Brice Stadium (South Carolina Gamecocks): 133.6 dB
- Memorial Stadium (Clemson Tigers): 132.8 dB
- Tiger Stadium (LSU Tigers): 130 dB
- Autzen Stadium (Oregon Ducks): 127 dB
- Lane Stadium (Virginia Tech Hokies): 126.2 dB
- Kyle Field (Texas A&M Aggies): 125 dB
- Beaver Stadium (Penn State Nittany Lions): 122 dB
- Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Florida Gators): 115 dB
Tennessee's Neyland Stadium is the loudest in all of the land at an eardrum-shattering 137 dB. Washington's Husky Stadium is a little bit off the Volunteers' trail at 133.6 dB. South Carolina (133.6 dB), Clemson (132.8 dB), and LSU (130 dB) round out the top five. Oregon, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Penn State, and Florida all have stadiums that can register above 115 dB over the course of a game.

While it is great to see Clemson ahead of LSU for the rights to being Deaf Valley, the absolute last thing the world needs is more Sandstorm and sweat-soaked towels slinging god knows what all over the place. Fortunately for Clemson fans, the Tigers were able to briefly silence the Gamecocks during last year's edition of Palmetto at their place. Sadly, the Gamecocks won the last game in Death Valley.
South Carolina rarely has any bragging rights over Clemson, so these will surely be going away fast.

As David Pollack starts up the South Carolina hype train, we all need to pump the brakes on these delightful Gamecocks. Shane Beamer is sitting atop the hottest seat of any head coach in the SEC. With Hugh Freeze, Billy Napier, Sam Pittman, and Mark Stoops out of the league, somebody has to be coaching in his final season in that conference. It might as well be the man who is known to be Cocky.
Once again, every ACC stadium is chasing what Clemson has built in Death Valley. With Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium more than 6 dB quieter than Memorial Stadium, it goes to show how special of a place Death Valley really is for Clemson. Of course, the Tigers must protect their house better. Keep in mind they are vying for the same playoff berths with the likes of LSU, and possibly South Carolina.
For teams like these ones in question, every home game matters when it comes to qualifying for the playoffs. While Clemson gets to host South Carolina this year, it must open the season at LSU. To be frank, it might be their most important game of the season. A win in Baton Rouge would not only keep people off Dabo Swinney's back, but it could be what potentially knocks LSU out of the playoff race.

To tie a bow on this, it does not matter how loud a stadium can get, so long as the home team wins. Outside of Clemson, who last won the playoffs in 2018, none of these other nine teams have won a national championship in the last decade-plus. Being loud is one thing, but being a better football team is another. South Carolina fans can really get loud, but their cacophony often falls on deaf ears.
Right now, Clemson fans are just waiting for the Tigers to give them something great to cheer about.
