The offensive struggles followed the Tigers to Wake Forest after going scoreless in the first quarter. Clemson's first drive consisted of four plays for 23 yards, but the second was a ten-play drive for only 24 yards.

Wake Forest's defense hemorrhages yards, but Clemson is struggling to move the ball. The Demon Deacons' defensive line is bringing a lot of pressure up the middle, causing problems in the rushing and passing games. Clemson has come alive on offense, scoring on its first drive of the second quarter.

On the other hand, Clemson's defense held Wake Forest on their first two drives similarly but gave up a 73-yard, 8-play drive for a go-ahead touchdown. It's the first points the Tigers have given up in the first quarter all season. It's also the first time Clemson has trailed since week one against Georgia.
