Are you a Clemson football fan? Are you also a gamer who might not have enough money to really affect change in terms of the Tigers' NIL fund? Well, EA Sports has set something up that'll allow you to help players earn more NIL money through the new College Football 26 video game.
That's right, a report came out just last week that should get all gamers excited.
In fact, the more you play as Clemson in the upcoming game, the more you'll help Tiger players earn, CLC Learfield (a company that works with EA Sports and empowers student athletes) announced.
"For each CFB product released by EA SPORTS, we (CLC Learfield) will provide a percentage for each institution based on the games played for that institution as a percentage of the total games played across all institutions. This percentage of games played will become the final allocation percentage for each school that will be applied to the total gross royalties for all institutions received."CLC Learfield
Basically, there will be a pot split between every college football team in the new game and the money in that pot will be divided by percentage of overall plays. The example that the report used was a $5 million pot and one team was used 1% of all plays which was $50,000. So that school would get that chunk to split amongst their players.
This is an awesome idea and it'll help fans choose their favorite teams more often in online play, offline play, and dynasty mode. If you're looking to help out with NIL and don't have deep pockets, this should be the way to go.
NIL continues to change and evolve before our eyes because who would've thought this was possible a few years ago?
