Clemson’s quest to reload the defensive line with another pack of game-wreckers is already roaring down the tracks. Dabo Swinney and his staff are making sure every high school coach in Georgia feels the heat, because the Tiger paw is coming for the cream of the crop in the 2028 class. We’re not just knocking on the door—we’re planting our flag right in the middle of enemy territory.

On Thursday afternoon, Clemson fired a shot across the bow by offering a scholarship to four-star defensive lineman Dawson Jacobs, one of the hottest prospects in the country. The Roswell native is a must-get for the Tigers—a future anchor who could set the tone for our defensive front for years to come.

247Sports already has Jacobs pegged as the No. 23 player in Georgia, and his recruitment is shaping up to be a heavyweight slugfest. Clemson is now toe-to-toe with the likes of Alabama, Florida, Miami, Oregon, Ohio State, and Nebraska—all lining up to try and pry this future Tiger star away from Death Valley.

Jacobs shared news of his offer on X: "Blessed to receive an offer from Clemson University!!"

With this offer, Jacobs steps into an ultra-exclusive club as just the fourth defensive lineman in the 2028 class to earn a Clemson offer. He’s now rubbing shoulders with five-star monsters Asher Ghioto and Prince Che, plus three-star edge rusher Quinn Jacobs. That’s the kind of company that gets Tiger fans fired up.

By jumping into the race for Dawson Jacobs this early, Clemson is sending a message that can’t be ignored: the Tigers are here to defend their turf and reload Death Valley with the next wave of game-wreckers.
