Being a Tiger fan has been great lately. Clemson football, basketball, and baseball have been near the top of their respective sports for years and 2024-25 was an especially special season for all three.
Starting with football, the Tigers made yet another playoff and won the ACC title over SMU. They head into the 2025 season with one of the best rosters in the country and will be ranked in the top five, more than likely. They finished the 2024 season ranked No. 16.
The basketball team finished 27-7 and earned a 5-seed in the NCAA Tournament, finishing second in the ACC right behind Duke and tied with Louisville. Brad Brownell's Tigers finished ranked No. 22.
Clemson baseball is still in the middle of its 2025 season, looking to make a deep postseason run. Erik Bakich has yet another contender on his hands as the No. 9 Tigers just completed a sweep of Pitt to improve to 41-15 overall.
What do all three of these programs have in common? They all finished the regular season ranked.
How rare is this? Clemson is one of just four schools that have had its baseball, basketball, and football teams finished ranked in the final regular season polls.
Oregon, Tennessee, and Alabama are the other three programs to join that elite group. These four programs have shown that it's possible to have success in all of the major sports at one time. It's clearly a rare feat, but it's good to see that Clemson is in good hands in its major sports.
Now all the Tigers need to do is win a national title.
