Clemson knocks off Charleston Southern for the 21st consecutive time. The Tigers won by nearly 30 points, finishing with a score of 91-64.

Chase Hunter was the star of the show with 17 points, five boards, three assists, and a couple of steals in only 23 minutes. Illinois State transfer Myles Foster tied Hunter in points but played excellent defense, recording two blocks at only six-foot-seven-inches.

As a team, the Tigers shot 49 percent from the field and 52 percent from deep. At first, Clemson struggled from beyond the arch. But three triples at the end of the first half from Hunter sparked something in the Tigers. This brings us to former Air Force transfer Jak Heidbreder. He made his debut as a Tiger after suffering a season-ending injury before the 2023-24 season started and knocked down 3-4 threes for nine points. Heidbreder could be the sharpshooter Clemson needs to succeed in the ACC this season.

Ian Schieffelin wasn't as active on the offensive side of the floor as he usually is. However, he still scored eight points, six coming in the second half and four coming at the charity stripe. He was perfect from the free-throw line, but the team missed the mark. The Tigers were 16-24 (67 percent) with their free throws. When conference play starts, those missed opportunities could be the difference between a win or a loss.

Overall, Clemson took care of business at home. The Tigers have a few more tuneup games before their first big test this season against Kentucky in the ACC/SEC Challenge on December 3, 2024.
