It's May and we're already spreading good Clemson basketball news. It feels like the program continues to trend in the right direction under Brad Brownell.

How times have changed.

Brownell has done a fantastic job with roster construction this offseason, replacing essentially the entire roster from Chase Hunter to Del Jones with impressive portal additions -- and one familiar face. The Tigers landed Nick Davidson, Efrem Johnson, Carter Welling, Jestin Porter, Jake Wahlin, and the familiar face, RJ Godfrey.

With all of these new faces playing together for the first time, it's important that they develop chemistry this offseason leading into the 2025-26 season.

Well, it looks like they're already doing that.

Godfrey (pictured on the left) was seen fishing with Davidson (center) and Welling (right). You can tell that Godfrey is no stranger to fishing as he caught one and he has his boots on with some basketball shorts and a Clemson shirt. Welling might need to work on that fishing outfit.

It's good to see these guys take it upon themselves to spend time with each other and bond off the court before they spend every day in the fall, winter, and spring together on the floor.

Post chemistry is about to be at an all-time high with Davidson, Welling, and Godfrey.

Who wouldn't be excited about this trio? Godfrey played with Clemson as a freshman and sophomore but transferred to Georgia last season where he played 19.5 minutes per game and averaged 6.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. Welling averaged 13.1 points and 6.3 rebounds as a sophomore with Utah Valley and Davidson averaged 15.8 points and 6.5 rebounds as a junior with Nevada.

This team is coming together nicely.
