It's been a long and busy offseason thus far for Brad Brownell and Clemson basketball and while the roster seems set for the 2025-26 season, there's a long way to go before it tips off.
And there's still plenty of work to be done.
The 2025-26 season is still about five months away, but hoops took center stage on Wednesday as the ACC released its home and away conference matchups.
Clemson posted its home and away only opponents as well as the two teams that the Tigers will play both home and away next season on Wednesday afternoon.
Clemson will face SMU, Florida State, Miami, NC State, Virginia Tech, Louisville, and Boston College at home only this next season and that kind of hints at a tougher away slate. It will be nice to get both Louisville and NC State at home because those will be two of the best teams in the conference. Not having to go to Louisville or Raleigh will be nice.
However, on the road only, Clemson will face Cal, Stanford, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Duke, Notre Dame, and Syracuse. Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Duke will be very tough road opponents and winning at the Carrier Dome against Syracuse is never easy.
Lastly, the Tigers will play both Georgia Tech and Pitt twice next season both at home and on the road. Both of these opponents will be tough, too.
Overall, the schedule won't be a walk in the park but Clemson avoids playing Virginia at all and will only have to play Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, NC State, and Louisville once next season while hostin the latter two.
Winning the ACC just got harder this offseason, but we have to let Brad Brownell work his magic.
