Clemson basketball has been filling out its roster for 2025-26 this offseason after losing eight guys to both graduation and the transfer portal. And there seems to be one spot left.

The Tigers are bringing in three freshmen in the 2025 recruiting class, led by Zac Foster, along with four transfers in Nick Davidson (Nevada), Carter Welling (Utah Valley), RJ Godfrey (Georgia), and Efrem Johnson (UAB). Brad Brownell will look to land another guard with his last spot.

And he's aiming high.

According to Jon Rothstein, Clemson was one of seven teams that made the cut for coveted James Madison guard transfer Bryce Lindsay.

Lindsay has a fairly loaded top seven led by national champion Florida as well as Villanova, Vanderbilt, Miami, USC, and Indiana to go along with the Tigers.

As a recruit out of high school, Lindsay was ranked the No. 180 prospect in the nation and committed to Texas A&M where he played eight games as a freshman. He was able to retain that redshirt and transferred to James Madison where he broke out, averaging 13.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. He shot 46 percent from the floor and 41 percent from deep.

If this is the last addition for Clemson, Tigers fans should be thrilled. He is being pursued by some of the best teams in the country, and for good reason.

Lindsay is a sharpshooter with decent size who committed to a high-major program in the SEC out of high school so it's not like he doesn't belong. He's going to have an immediate impact on whatever team he chooses and if that's Clemson, he'd fill that Chase Hunter role.
