After three years with the Miami Hurricanes, star guard Nijel Pack has entered the transfer portal, looking for his third school in six collegiate seasons. Clemson basketball is hoping that it's next.

Pack, who started his career at Kansas State, spent three years with the Hurricanes and had some of the highest highs (2023 Final Four) and some truly low lows (7-24 in 2024-25). He's now looking to end his college career on a high note and find a new home for his sixth and final year.

According to a report from Jeff Goodman, the finalists on his list are set.

Per the report, Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Clemson, and Kansas State are all being focused on as Pack nears a decision. It's an interesting list, but it also makes plenty of sense.

Indiana needs pretty much anyone and everyone at this point after losing the entire roster to the transfer portal following Mike Woodson's departure. Kansas, too, has been a portal fiend lately. Porter Moser has gotten Oklahoma back on the map and with Jeremiah Fears going pro, Pack could be a good replacement here. Kansas State would be a return back to where it all started for Pack. And Clemson needs ball-dominant guards who can score.

The fit is there with the Tigers, but the draw of returning home (Kansas State), playing for a perennial title contender (Kansas), joining an up-and-coming program (Oklahoma), and revitalizing a sleeping giant (Indiana) might just outweigh that.

It's good to see Clemson is at least in the race here, though.

Pack drew plenty of portal interest following a shortened fifth season in which he averaged 13.9 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 45 percent from the floor and 39 percent from 3-point land. Clemson will make a serious push here.
