It's been a successful offseason for Brad Brownell and Clemson basketball.

While the Tigers have lost nine guys to the transfer portal and to the NBA Draft process, they added 10 guys via the 2025 class as well as via the portal.

Gone are Chase Hunter, Ian Schieffelin, Viktor Lakhin, Jaeden Zackery, Del Jones, Chauncey Wiggins, Christian Reeves, Asa Thomas, and Jake Heidbreder and really the only guy coming back with an sort of production from a year ago is Dillon Hunter.

Brownell had to act fast in the portal with just a three-man incoming class and he did that with additions of Nick Davidson, Jestin Porter, Carter Welling, Jake Wahlin, Efrem Johnson, and RJ Godfrey. He loaded the roster back up and did it quicker than anyone expected.

This team should be able to compete for an ACC title next season.

Just how good is Clemson's 2025 transfer class? The Portal Report, which obviously specializes in transfer losses and additions, ranked the Tigers' class No. 3 in the ACC behind only Louisville and Wake Forest.

Clemson's addition will be peppering the starting lineup, so this ranking isn't all that shocking, especially with how many guys are coming in. Clemson's entire starting five next season could be newcomers and that has to be considered by these rankings.

Plus, the departures weren't exactly crazy productive. Wiggins was the only starter (if we don't count Schieffelin and Zackery in the portal with no eligibility left) and Jones was the guy who fans were most upset about losing.

I think No. 3 in the ACC is a good spot and it just goes to show that Brownell did a great job.
