Brad Brownell and Clemson basketball have reportedly added an intriguing non-conference home-and-home matchup to their schedule over the next two seasons.

According to a report from Rocco Miller on X, Georgetown and Clemson have agreed to a home-and-home series over the next two years and the first matchup will take place on Nov. 15 at Capital One Arena. This will be a road game for the Tigers before returning to Littlejohn in 2026-27.

This should get fans excited for the upcoming season and, honestly, home-and-home non-conference matchups are great for the sport. They conjure up the excitement for the non-conference slate and provide realistic atmospheres that could resemble March Madness-type pressure.

Clemson is fresh off a 27-7 season in which it earned a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament but unfortunately drew one of the best mid-majors in the country. McNeese pulled off the upset before Will Wade left for NC State and it really put a damper on an otherwise incredible and memorable season. Now the team has seen a ton of changes and will enter 2025-26 looking much different.

Gone are Chase Hunter, Ian Schieffelin, Viktor Lakhin, Jaeden Zackery, and Chauncey Wiggins, but Brownell worked his (insert expletive) off in the portal to rebuild the roster.

As for Georgetown, Ed Cooley's team went 18-16 in his second year with the program, doubling his win total from the season before. The Hoyas were vastly improved but still didn't make the NCAA Tournament, getting invited to the inaugural College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas instead. They won one game in that 16-team single-elimination tournament before losing to Nebraska.

This matchup should be one of the best in the early season around college basketball.
