Clemson 2025 win total over/under set by Vegas and it might surprise many

Clemson's over/under win total is high but it is a number that the Tigers should surpass if they are truly going to be National Championship contenders.

Though the end of the 2024-25 college football season came just days ago, many are already turning their attention to next fall. Of course, that's especially true of Clemson football fans given that there is considerable hype surrounding the Tigers for the 2025-26 season.

We recently discussed that the Tigers are appearing in the top 10 of almost every major site's way-too-early 2025 rankings. Now, we have an over/under win total for Clemson thanks to FanDuel.com.

However, the total that Vegas has set for the Tigers in next year's regular season might be a surprise to some. FanDuel has that number at just 9.5 wins.

If Clemson is going to be a national title contender, as so many people believe, then the Tigers may have to surpass that number. After all, every team that made the 12-team playoff in 2024-25 won at least 10 games in the regular season.

Clemson has higher hopes than just winning ten regular-season games though. In fact, if the Tigers turn out to be as good next season as they are projected to be, they might be able to run the table in the regular season.

A showdown with LSU in the season opener will be tough. However, given that it will take place at Clemson, that's a game that the Tigers should expect to win.

As we wait for the ACC schedule release, which is slated for Monday, January 27, we do know that Clemson will also face Troy, Syracuse, Duke, Florida State, SMU, and Furman at home in 2025. Of those teams, Syracuse, Duke, and SMU will all present challenges but Clemson should be favored in each of those games.

The Tiger's road opponents next season are Boston College, Louisville, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina. Of that group, Louisville and South Carolina look to pose the greatest threats to an undefeated regular season.

In the end, most Clemson fans would likely bet the over on FanDuel's Clemson win total for next season. Though 9.5 is a large number, it is one that the Tigers should beat if they truly are going to be one of the top teams in the country.
