Chase Hunter's path to the NBA isn't going to be an easy one and he knew he'd have to prove himself worthy of a professional look when the season ended.

And he's working hard on improving that NBA Draft stock.

Hunter had a tough start to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, but he has since bounced back and concluded his weekend with a solid 12-point showing in the title game.

He also had seven rebounds, three assists, and showed that defensive prowess with five steals.

The senior guard did have himself a big game in the final outing of the Portsmouth Invitational, showing that he can score at all three levels and create for himself. He has a nice shot and wasn't afraid to launch with hands in his face. His ability to defend and also rebound from the guard position had to be intriguing for scouts in attendance, too.

This wasn't the only solid showing from Hunter this weekend. Outside of his first game, he has played well and he even had the second-highest score at the Portsmouth Combine.

Hunter is just an athlete who can fill it up.

There's a long way to go in the NBA Draft process for him to continue to boost his stock so he's going to have to kill the workouts he gets with teams heading up to the big day. Interviews and private workouts are going to set him apart, but I can bet you that he earned more serious looks because of his performance at the Portsmouth Invitational this weekend.
