The NBA Draft process is fully underway and that means that some former Clemson stars are pursuing futures in the league, including Chase Hunter.

The Tigers' leading scorer from this past season was arguably the top pro prospect on the roster that also included Ian Schieffelin, Viktor Lakhin, and Jaeden Zackery. He looked like a guy who could get a serious look by NBA teams for his ability to defend as well as score in bunches. His two-way ability is something scouts drool over.

While the draft is still months away and the order hasn't even been announced yet, Hunter has been participating in the Portsmouth Invitational this week which gives players a chance to impress NBA scouts in attendance at the tournament.

While Hunter's first game didn't quite go as planned, he did grade out more than favorably in the Portsmouth Invitational's version of the NBA Combine.

According to the numbers, Hunter was the second-highest-graded prospect at the PIT.

This may not mean much now, but when it comes time for teams to narrow down their list of potential draft targets, guys who grade out favorably in the physical aspect are more likely to be selected over guys who don't seem to test well. Plus, Hunter has a track record of being a plus scorer and defender.

Now that it's clear he's an elite athlete, he's going to get even more looks, workouts, and interviews.

Will Hunter be selected in the 2025 NBA Draft? It's possible, but he has a lot of work to do as he's not projected to go in a lot of mocks. If he keeps grading out like this, it'll be hard for teams to pass up on him late in round two.
