Four-star class of 2028 cornerback Kahmaree Crumity narrowed his recruitment Thursday afternoon, listing Clemson among his top 10 choices.
The 6-foot, 175-pound playmaker out of Florida is considering Clemson alongside Indiana, Miami, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Louisville, and UCLA. Crumity checks in as the No. 322 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 34 cornerback, and the No. 49 player in Florida, per the 247Sports Composite.

Clemson jumped into the mix with Crumity back in June, making him just the eighth player the Tigers have offered in the 2028 class and only the second cornerback, joining four-star Domonic Williams Jr. The Tigers had already begun building that relationship by inviting Crumity to Death Valley for a 2025 home game against Furman.
Crumity is set to suit up for Lincoln High in Tallahassee this fall after transferring from Gadsden County. The move comes after Gadsden County’s head coach Russell Ellington was hit with a one-year suspension for eligibility violations, forcing several players, including Crumity, to find new homes.
Crumity flashed his potential as a freshman at Gadsden County, posting 19 tackles, a tackle for loss, a forced fumble, and half a sack. He took a big step forward as a sophomore, racking up 33 tackles, 10 pass breakups, six deflections, and an interception.
That breakout sophomore season put Crumity on the national radar, garnering him close to 30 offers since January. He’s been busy on the recruiting trail, making unofficial stops at Florida State, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, Georgia, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and South Carolina over the last six months.
Clemson could have an ace up its sleeve in this race. Crumity has a strong connection with five-star wideout Jamarin Simmons, a 2027 Clemson commit. The two go way back, having played together as kids at Amos P. Godby.
