Clemson Football debuts in the College Football Playoff rankings
Clemson Football debuted at No. 24 in this week’s College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings. The new rankings were debuted Tuesday night.
It is the first time this season that the Tigers (7-4) have been ranked by the committee. The new ranking comes following three straight wins over Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and North Carolina.
Both the Irish and Tar Heels were ranked at the time Clemson defeated them. Notre Dame remains ranked at 18th while North Carolina has dropped from the rankings.
Florida State remains just outside the Top 4 with a No. 5 ranking. Louisville is 10th and NC State is 22nd.
Clemson stands at third in all-time CFP Top 25 appearances with 52. Alabama and Ohio State are tied for first with 58 appearances each.
