Much like running back, the position of off-ball linebacker has become very devalued in the modern NFL. If that wasn’t the case a player like Trotter could be a first-round pick, but instead he’s the 77th player in the Pro Football Focus 2024 NFL draft big board.

Trotter leads Clemson with 71 tackles and has 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, a touchdown, four pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. He’s a force in the middle of the field and has stuffed the stat sheet like no other player on the roster.

In 2022, Trotter finished with 89 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and two interceptions, so back-to-back wildly productive years are a perfect launching pad into the NFL.
