Good morning Tiger Nation! Here is today’s Clemson Tigers News.
Clemson United earns No. 9 seed in NCAA Tournament
Clemson Men’s Soccer just won the ACC Tournament and now are headed to the NCAAs. The Tigers learned yesterday that they will be the No. 9 overall seed and will get a bye into the second round.
Clemson will play the winner of Charlotte vs High Point. Their second round game will be at Historic Riggs Field on Sunday, November 19th.
Notre Dame, North Carolina, Virginia, Wake Forest and Duke also earned Top 16 seeds and byes. Louisville, Pitt and Syracuse earned first round bids and open at home.
The semifinals and final will be held in Louisville, Kentucky for the first time ever.
Dabo Swinney says Clemson Football hasn’t played best game yet
Clemson Football head coach Dabo Swinney spoke on the Sunday call-in show and says the Tigers still have room to improve.
Swinney made the point that while Clemson’s best possible record would be 8-4, they have a chance to finish with a very good home record again.
Clemson Women’s Basketball will be keeping an eye on the upcoming announcement by Camden prospect Joyce Edwards, who will be announcing her choice on November 15th.
Edwards has a Top 3 of Clemson, LSU and South Carolina.
Clemson Football hosted multiple offensive line prospects this past weekend, and will welcome another for the North Carolina game.
Dennis was committed to Michigan State, but re-opened his recruitment in the wake of Mel Tucker’s dismissal.
Clemson Football released a depth chart this week. There aren’t many big changes, but a few things to note:
- Colin Sadler is now the ‘OR’ starter at left guard alongside Trent Howard, as well as the backup to Tristan Leigh at left tackle.
- Josh Sapp moves into the second string tight end spot with the season-ending injury to Sage Ennis
- Barrett Carter is listed on the depth chart, despite his injury
- Andrew Mukuba is the starting strong safety and Khalil Barnes is the starting nickelback.
