By John Chancey
Good morning Tiger Nation! Here is today’s Clemson Tigers News.
Scoreboard
Clemson Men’s Soccer 5, Louisville 1: The Tigers won big at Historic Riggs Field on Wednesday night and advanced to the championship game of the ACC Tournament.
Remi Okunlola netted the first goal for the Tigers in the 7th minute. Louisville equalized in the 19th minute, but it was all Clemson from that point.
Ousmane Sylla scored his first goal of the night in the 30th minute and tacked another on in the 35th minute for his fourth career brace.
Isaiah Easley (68th) and Gael Gibert (71st) each added a goal to finish the game.
The Tigers will now face the North Carolina Tar Heels in the final. The game will be Sunday, November 12th in Cary, North Carolina. The game will start at noon and be broadcast on ESPNU and available in the ESPN app.
Just before Wednesday’s game, we learned that five Clemson United players had been selected to the All-ACC team.
This is wonderful for the program, and honestly, a few other names like Alex Meinhard and Joseph Andema probably should have been on this team as well.
