Good morning Clemson Nation! Here is this morning’s Clemson Tigers News.

Scoreboard

Clemson Volleyball loses to Louisville 1-3 (25-19, 23-25, 18-25, 15-25): The Tigers won the first set on Senior Day, but then the No. 3 Cardinals took the next three sets.

Kateryna Tkachenko and Kennedy Wagner each had 9 kills. Mckenna Slavik had 34 assists. Adria Powell logged 4 blocks and 3 aces.

That wraps up the home schedule for the Tigers, as they play their final four regular season matches on the road. Next up is at Notre Dame on Friday.

Clemson Women’s Soccer 1, Florida State 2: The Tigers make a great run in the ACC Tournament, but can’t quite overcome the top-seeded Seminoles.

Head coach Eddie Radwanski:

“This was a high-level game today. For me, everytime we play games like this, I know it helps our team to get better. I know talking to Brian, he feels like his team gets better as well. It is great preparation for the NCAA tournament and trying to move forward and I thought from a playing perspective, it was a great showing for women’s soccer. There were some moments where we played some great football out there, we were just unfortunate to not be able to pull out the win,”

FSU scored early, but Mackenzie Duff scored with a header in the 28th minute to equalize. This was Clemson’s first appearance in the title game since 2002.

The Tigers now await news of their NCAA tournament draw.

Clemson Men’s Soccer 3, Duke 3, Tigers win shootout 4-1: Clemson United advances to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament in a penalty kick shootout after regulation and overtime ended in a draw at Historic Riggs Field.

Tyler Trimnal earned a brace with scores in the 11th and 73rd minutes. Alex Meinhard scored in overtime to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead, but the Blue Devils found the equalizer and the game went to a shootout.

Goalkeeper Joseph Andema made a critical save on Duke’s second attempt, and their third attempt missed the target. Clemson was able to close it out on their fourth shot to advance to the next round of the ACC Tournament.

The Tigers will next play Louisville, who upset the overall No. 1 seed Notre Dame to advance. They will play November 8th at Historic Riggs Field for a spot in the ACC Championship game.
