SP+ predicts positive future for Clemson Football

There is at least one metric that is still high on Clemson Football, at least looking forward. ESPN’s SP+ ranks Clemson 11th.

This puts the Tigers just ahead of future opponents Notre Dame (12th), Miami (17th), and North Carolina (18th).

As creator Bill Connelly says:

"“SP+ is indeed intended to be predictive and forward-facing. It is not a résumé ranking that gives credit for big wins or particularly brave scheduling”"

While Miami’s home field advantage will give them an edge, the SP+ metric believes Clemson has an advantage over their remaining opponents.

Both Clemson Soccer teams remain ranked

Clemson Women’s Soccer has moved up to 7th in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.

The Tigers are one of six ACC teams that are currently ranked.

Clemson Men’s Soccer has climbed to 21st after a slow start. They are one of seven ACC men’s teams that are currently ranked.

Clemson United’s Ousmane Sylla was named the Offensive Player of the Week in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Sylla had two goals against Louisville Friday and an assist early in the week against Winthrop.
