Happy Hump Day Clemson Nation! This is today’s Clemson Tigers News.

Scoreboard

Clemson Men’s Soccer 4, Winthrop 1: Clemson United rallies to win at Historic Riggs Field.

The Eagles struck first in the 32nd minute, but from there the Tigers controlled the action with goals from Nathan Richmond (37th), Joran Gerbet (64th), Shawn Smart (69th), and Alex Meinhard (83rd).

The Tigers return to action Friday hosting Louisville.

Clemson United is ranked 18th by Top Drawer Soccer this week.

Clemson Board Of Trustees will meet later this week

With all the articles, posts and rumors swirling about Clemson’s status as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, it makes sense that any high level meeting at the university could involve discussion on the matter.

The Board Of Trustees does have a meeting soon, and athletic director Graham Neff is scheduled to discuss Clemson Athletics.

Fowler does follow up to elaborate that Neff is simply presenting to a committee, and not the full BOT. The agenda for the full board does not include anything about Neff.

Dabo Swinney gives updates on injuries

Head coach Dabo Swinney met with the press yesterday and gave this brief update on the status of Nate Wiggins and Antonio Williams.

I would still lean towards neither Wiggins or Williams playing against Wake Forest, but it sounds like they are keeping the door open.

Swinney confirmed that freshman Tink Kelley will need surgery at some point.

Clemson Football alum Amari Rodgers has been on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad this season, but he has just received a promotion.

The Colts have signed Rodgers to the main 53-player roster. Rodgers previously played for the Green Bay Packers and the Houston Texans. He was a key receiver for the Tigers from 2017-20.
