PAC-12 – Washington State

There are four undefeated teams in the PAC-12 right now. USC, Oregon, and Washington are not surprises.

The fourth team is in Pullman, Washington. The Cougars first surprised us with an out-of-conference win over Wisconsin. They then tripped up DJ Uiagalelei and the Oregon State Beavers.

Both wins were at home, and Wazzou will have to play Oregon and Washington on the road. A tough path to take, so I can’t give the Cougars high odds to pull off a CFP berth. What I feel good about is that they could ruin someone else’s season.

Their first conference road test will be in Los Angeles against UCLA this weekend. Even if they win that game, they still stand a good chance of flying beneath the radar as they approach their game at Autzen against the Ducks.

Considering how big Oregon beat Colorado, few will give Washington State a chance. They could sneak up on the Ducks.

It’s less likely they will sneak up on their in-state rival Huskies, but remember this: even if these teams keep playing this game in the years to come, it will be the last time they will face off as conference mates. The game will be high-charged and in rivalry games like this, anything could happen.
