2024 Clemson Football commits making headlines
Congratulations to 2024 Clemson Football commit Nolan Hauser for breaking the national record for field goals made in high school with his 57th made field goal.
Hauser kicked a 48 yard field goal Thursday night against North Mecklenburg, which was one yard short of his personal best of 49 yards.
Another 2024 Tiger commit, Champ Thompson, announced he will be attending the Florida Atlantic game this Saturday.
2024 commit Corian Gipson re-affirmed his commitment to Clemson to Rivals and expressed his opinion that this class will accomplish big things.
Tristen Rigby got the sideline jumping
Pop Quiz: Which Clemson running back had the highest average yards per rush last Saturday against Charleston Southern?
If you guessed Will Shipley, Phil Mafah or Jay Haynes, you’re wrong.
The answer is walk-on Tristen Rigby, at 20.5 yards per carry. Rigby got his first carry in a Clemson game and busted out a 35 yard run that got his teammates pumped.
Of Rigby, head coach Dabo Swinney said:
“[Rigby] doesn’t get to play much but he’s an incredibly committed kid to the team. To see the team get excited to watch that kid bust a couple runs, that’s what it’s all about.”
Lastly, ESPN’s Rece Davis pondered how the SEC’s start to this season could play out. Not directly Clemson related, but those who suffer from SEC fatigue will find this scenario interesting.
