Clemson Football Recruiting for 2024 is almost complete. There are only a few open recruitments left for the 2024 class. They currently sit at 17 commitments and have the 15th-ranked class in the 247Sports Composite.

There are a few positions they would still like to add to that class, and one of them is defensive end.

The Tigers have one scholarship offer out to an end: Solomon Williams from Carrollwood Day School in Tampa, Florida.

Williams has not been in a rush with his recruitment. He did elect to reveal a Top 5 list, and the Tigers were included.

Williams also included Alabama, Oregon, Texas, and Texas A&M. There are no 247 Crystal Balls for him at this time.

He is a 3-star edge player in the 247Sports Composite. He is 6’-3” and 250 pounds.

247’s Andrew Ivins makes Solomon sound like a quality prospect in his evaluation:

"“Explosive athlete that can dunk a basketball. Uses his first step to daze opposing linemen and then get to work. Can win with a simple bullrush, but has also flashed the ability to bend while running the arc. Pretty fluid for someone for someone of his stature and can redirect as he tries to flush out pockets. Doesn’t lack a motor and will keep the legs pumping to make stops outside the hashes. Overall, should be viewed as a productive pass rusher with developmental upside. Will need to eventually get better with the hands, but already has some juice and power, which is key.”"

Ivins does acknowledge that Williams will need a little time to adjust to the speed of the college game. He also notes that his frame could support a move to the inside eventually, but most schools are interested in him on the end of the defensive line.

Clemson has two defensive ends committed in the 2024 class right now: Darien Mayo from Olney, Maryland, and Adam Kissayi from Palm Bay, Florida.
