Several NFL teams made cuts yesterday

NFL teams must get their roster down this week, so several of them are making their final cuts. Unfortunately, some Clemson Football alums have been released, while others got good news.

In Philadelphia, three Tigers were released: Deon Cain, Joseph Ngata and veteran K’von Wallace. Mario Goodrich did make the final 53-man roster for the first time.

So far, so good for Justyn Ross in Kansas City, as he has made the regular season roster for the Chiefs. Cornell Powell did not, and he is hoping to catch on to the practice squad for a third season.

The Colts have released Amari Rodgers.

Clelin Ferrell will be on the San Francisco 49ers’ main roster after signing there this offseason. Austin Bryant was cut by the Niners, but he is expected to be retained by the organization one way or another.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released Nolan Turner.

Clemson Soccer ranked again in the polls

Clemson Men’s Soccer hasn’t gotten off to the fast start they were hoping for, but they are still ranked 10th in the United Soccer Coaches poll.

Meanwhile, Clemson Women’s Soccer charged out of the gate and is already 3-0-1, and has risen to 11th in the United Soccer Coaches poll.

ACC expansion still on hold: Andrea Adelson shared this information on X (Twitter) about ACC expansion talks.

Most of the posts I see from insiders suggests that this new expansion plans has enough support to pass, yet Adelson says nobody has changed their vote so far.

ESPN is getting creative: ESPN has announced that they will be showing college football games in theaters.
