Will Adam Randall or Cole Turner emerge as a threat for Clemson Football?

The first seasons for Randall and Turner were like opposite ends of a magnet.

Randall was hyped as a recruit and then hyped even more when he began spring practice. An ACL injury derailed his health and development. He missed the rest of spring, summer, and most of fall camp. He found his way onto the field in 2022, but he didn’t stand out the way everyone had hoped.

Turner, on the other hand, was assumed from the beginning to redshirt the 2022 season and work to be ready for the next campaign. Given rules that allow redshirts to play in up to four games, the staff decided to put him on the field at the end of the season. Out of nowhere, Turner became the first wideout in the 2022 season to go over 100 yards of receiving in the ACC Championship game.

We hope Williams can take the next step. We hope Collins can return to form following injuries in 2022. It would be great if Spector or Stellato thrived in Riley’s system, but based on what we’ve seen, the most likely scenario is for Randall and Turner to step into the starting lineup.

Randall appears poised to start fall camp injury free, positioning him to build on positive momentum. We have only a small sample size to indicate what Turner can do, but now he must do it from the beginning in a bigger role.
