Clemson Football has handed out a new 2024 offer

Class of 2024 linebacker Bradley Shaw has announced that he has received a scholarship offer from Clemson Football.

Shaw is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite Ranking. He is a rising senior at Hoover High School in Alabama. He is the 157th ranked player in the Composite and the 14th best overall linebacker.

According to Jason Priester from All Clemson Tigers, Shaw attended the All-In Cookout last Friday.

The Tigers now have two outstanding offers to linebackers. Wyatt Simmons from Harding Academy in Searcy, Arkansas also holds an offer from Clemson.

An ACC rival of Clemson could be facing NIL problems

LifeWallet owner John Ruiz has been the face of Miami’s NIL efforts for the past two years. Ruiz has been bold in the past with his plans for supporting NIL for the Hurricanes.

LifeWallet was worth $10 a share when it went public. Now it trades for $0.02 a share. The company made $23.4 million in 2022, missing their expected revenue total by $968.6 million dollars. That sounds like a joke, but it isn’t.

NIL efforts from Ruiz have decreased considerably, as you might imagine. Now the Miami Herald has revealed that Ruiz is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (the other SEC) and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.

What this means for Miami in the future is not clear, but if there is a sudden exodus from their programs the next time the transfer portal window opens, it might be because some checks bounced.

Clemson represented on USA Softball

Clemson Softball head coach John Rittman and player Valerie Cagle will be part of the USA Softball roster for the 2023 Japan All-Star Series. The event will be held August 4-7 at various locations in Japan. Twelve NCAA teams will be represented on USA’s roster, including three members of the national champion Oklahoma Sooners.
