Randall was a 4-star wide receiver prospect in the 247Sports Composite for the Class of 2022. He played at Myrtle Beach High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
At 6’-3” and 230 pounds, Randall was an imposing physical specimen. He was also a track athlete at MBHS. With his size and speed, it was thought he could compete for playing time immediately as a true freshman. Coach Swinney confirmed this belief after he began competing in spring camp in 2022.
Sadly, a torn ACL abruptly ended Randall’s spring, and he was put behind the eight-ball before he ever played a game. He rehabbed the injury during the summer and was cleared to play shortly after the regular season began, but his momentum had been completely disrupted.
Physically, Randall was able to play but he couldn’t make the impact that everyone had hoped for when he arrived. He missed the 2023 spring camp following a scope of his other knee.
He looks to be fully healthy this fall, and there is excitement building for what he can do in Riley’s offense. If players like Randall, as well as Stellato and Collins, can be healthy and excel in the new offensive scheme, the potential for the Clemson passing game is sky-high.
