Clemson Football: Players who could make big comebacks in 2023

There was a time during the run of six straight College Football Playoff appearances for Clemson Football that it seemed like injuries rarely happened. The ever-present nagging injuries happened, of course, but it seemed rare for anyone of importance to miss significant time during the season. It also seemed like most players were available for spring practice as well.

The last three years have felt like the team was in the ‘Upside Down’. Injuries have plagued this program with several key players, particularly at wide receiver, missing some or all of the season. Many players have also missed spring practices while recovering from injuries or surgeries, further hampering their development.

There is always a silver lining, however. Sometimes fans forget how promising a player was before an injury halted their progress. We can be surprised sometimes when a solid player finally has good luck for a change and reminds us of how good they can be when they have the chance.

With all the injuries of the past couple of years, several players are looking to get their careers back on course. Here are five players who could make big comebacks for the Tigers in the 2023 football season.
