Clemson Tigers alum Deon Cain is getting another shot at the NFL
Clemson Tigers alum Deon Cain made the most of his opportunity in the USFL by winning the championship game MVP for the Birmingham Stallions. Now he will get a chance to return to the NFL in 2023.
Cain has signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. This is his second stint in Philadelphia. He was in training camp and on their practice squad from 2021-22, before he signed with the Stallions. He was last in an NFL game in 2020.
Clemson Basketball makes star prospect’s Top 8
Austin Swartz is a 4-star shooting guard from Concord, North Carolina. He has included Clemson in his Top 8 schools.
Swartz is the 37th overall player in On3’s rankings. He is the 9th ranked shooting guard prospect for the Class of 2024. He is 6′-5″ and 180 pounds. He is a rising senior at Cannon School.
Clemson has already hosted him for an official visit. He has six more visits planned before making a decision, so there is a long way to go in his recruitment.

The Clemson Volleyball season starts August 12 with intrasquad scrimmage
Clemson Volleyball is getting ready to start their 2023 campaign with their annual Orange vs. Purple Scrimmage on August 12th at Jervey Gym. The Tigers start their regular season in Athens against the Georgia Bulldogs on August 19th.
Their home opener will be August 25th against Middle Tennessee State. ACC play begins against Georgia Tech on September 20th.
The upcoming season begins in 19 days when Clemson hosts its Orange vs. Purple scrimmage on Aug. 12!

All of the Clemson Baseball players and commitments who were drafted signed their professional contracts, but that didn’t mean the Tigers were done with MLB.
Benjamin Blackwell has signed a professional contract with the Texas Rangers.

Blackwell hit .311 with a .411 slugging percentage and .406 on-base percentage during his time with Clemson. He transferred from Dayton before the 2022 season and started 121 games at shortstop.
