Clemson Men’s Basketball – 2023 Selection Sunday: Date, schedule, TV times and channel

While the Clemson Men’s Basketball team had a tough go of it last week, they’re still in the mix for a bid to the NCAA Tournament at 18-6 and 10-3 in the ACC.

Simply put they have to play better in order to make that happen and that needs to begin immediately.  In the Tigers case that’s Saturday, February 11, when they travel to Chapel Hill to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels at 2 p.m. in a game that will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2.

It’s never too early to plan for the NCAA selection show though and to that end here is the information for the selection shows for both.

NCAA Men’s Tournament Selection Show

Date: March 12

Time: To be determined

Network: To be determined

Admittedly I find it a tad strange that at this point that a time has not been determined for the men’s selection show other than in the “evening” and “after the final championship game”.

Clemson missed a huge opportunity by losing to Boston College on Tuesday and then Miami at home on Saturday.

The Tigers are currently at No. 64 in the NET Rankings, which is one tool used in selecting teams.

As of last Friday morning the Tigers were in as a 9 seed in Birmingham facing Maryland, but that was prior to the loss to Miami.

Clemson Men’s Basketball is still in the mix for an NCAA Tournament bid

Despite the recent struggles, there are opportunities ahead for the Tigers with road games against North Carolina, North Carolina State and Virginia remaining on the schedule.

In the NET formula away games count more than home wins.

NCAA Women’s Tournament Selection Show

Date: March 12

Time: 8 p.m. EST

Network: ESPN

The women’s selection show is more clear cut and is set for 8 p.m. EST on ESPN.

The Clemson women are currently 13-12 and 4-9 in the ACC after losing to Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon.
