While things are relatively quiet on the Clemson football front after last week’s big Thursday news, there is some recruiting news we’ll get to in a minute.
First up though, Clemson Women’s Basketball hosted Notre Dame and fell short, losing 57-54 to the Irish.
Notre Dame moved to 15-2 on the season, including 6-1 in the ACC, while the Tigers fell to 12-8 and 3-5.
Brie Perpignan led the Tigers with 11 points, with Amari Robinson chipping in 10.
Robinson led the Tigers with 8 rebounds, while Daish Bradford and Hannah Hank had 7 apiece.
Next up, the Tigers travel to Chestnut Hill for a 2 p.m. game on Sunday against Boston College.
On the men’s side can’t overlook the year Hunter Tyson is having, coming off another double-double in the loss to Wake Forest Tuesday.
On the season, Tyson is averaging a double-double coming in at 15.8 points and 10.1 boards per game through the Tigers first 19 games.
Depending on who suits up Saturday and is able to contribute, Clemson may need more than that from Tyson to beat Virginia Tech, even in Littlejohn.
Tyson is starting to get more than regional recognition for his season and it’s about time.
In addition, maybe things are looking up for the Tiger guards if Twitter is right.
There’s also a chance Chase Hunter plays.
Clemson football one of four that will be in it for 5-Star K.J. Bolden
Clemson appears to be one of the four in it for the long haul with 5-star KJ Bolden.
Bolden is a 6’1, 185-pound safety/athlete out of Buford, Georgia in the Class of 2024, ranked No. 4 overall by 247sports.com and No. 2 in the state of Georgia in the composite rankings.
The competition is stiff, as you would think it would be with the No. 2 overall player in the cycle.
The fact that Clemson is in it and apparently will be for the long term is a good thing for the Tigers, even if they end up on the outside looking in.
