Clemson Football was well represented in Orlando, Florida Monday night as some of the best high school seniors in the country took the field for the Under Armour Next All-America game.

The game featured over 130 top players from the Class of 2023. The participants were separated in two teams: Team Phantom and Team Speed.

Four Clemson commitments from the Class of 2023 participated. Defensive lineman Peter Woods, defensive end David Ojiegbe, and linebacker Dee Crayton lined up for Team Phantom. Wide receiver Noble Johnson was on Team Speed.

Team Phantom defeated Team Speed 14-7. All the scoring for both teams happened in the first half.

Woods made an impact early and often. He pressured Team Speed quarterback Jackson Arnold (Oklahoma commit) on the first series to force a three and out, following that with a sack of Arnold in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, Woods blocked a pass from Arnold into the air that was then intercepted by Team Phantom’s Derek Williams (Texas commit).

Woods was involved with one of the high profile moments of the second half when the offensive lineman resorted to grabbing him by the pants just to try to stop him from getting to the quarterback.

Crayton was involved on a play in the third quarter when Team Phantom forced a fumble by Richard Young (Alabama commit), helping to clog the middle and cutting off Young’s running lane.

Johnson made a reception on Team Speed’s final drive of the game. Ojiegbe was in on defense for Team Phantom during that drive.

In-state players of note included Markee Anderson and Xzavier McLeod, both of whom are committed to South Carolina.

More Tiger recruits will play this Saturday in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. Defensive end Tomorrion Parker, quarterback Christopher Vizzina and tight end Olsen Patt Henry plan to participate.
