The Big Three: 3 biggest stories of the week on RubbingtheRock.com
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our readers! While you’re sitting around waiting for Christmas dinner or waiting for the nap after to hit, take a minute to look at the three biggest Clemson football stories on RubbingtheRock.com this week.
Sometimes it’s close and comes down to the wire, sometimes you know an article is a hit as you’re writing it, whether it’s good or bad news and sometimes they come out of nowhere.
Such was the case when I wrote about D.J. Uiagalelei being crystal balled to Hawaii on Tuesday. This turned out not to be the case, as D.J. was linked to Oregon State and subsequently publicly committed to the Beavers on Christmas Eve, but the DJU to Hawaii story was far and away the most read of the week.
This sets up for an interesting few years (maybe) in the Oregon – Oregon State rivalry as Matayo Uiagalelei committed to the Ducks on Wednesday.
Sometimes the timing is right and our articles can cross weeks and such is the case with this week’s second most read story – Houston Burnett’s “Killing College Football” from December 16th is still reverberating among Clemson fans. Check it out if you haven’t already.
One of our newest features, an early morning, quick hit piece with the latest news and tidbits has proven popular with Tiger fans.
Arguably the biggest piece of the 2023 recruiting class signed by Clemson football, Peter Woods, left no doubt about his choice
What’s more popular than just the old regular news? Well, when a 5-star defensive lineman leaves no doubt where and when he’ll be signing and it’s Clemson. Some doubted Peter Woods would sign with Clemson in the end, but Mr. Woods ended that speculation and helped our Clemson Tigers News of December 18 become the third biggest story of the week on the site.
I’m waiting for the day that the post about the three biggest posts of the week ends up being one of the posts of the week!
Happy Holidays from everyone at Rubbing The Rock, thank you for reading, stay safe and Go Tigers!
