Former Clemson football quarterback and No. 1 overall pick of the 2021 NFL draft Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars lit up the first-place Tennessee Titans on the Titans home field by a score of 36-22 on Sunday afternoon.

Lawrence was 30 of 42 through the air for 368 yards with 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions on the day, recording a quarterback rating of 121.9 on the day.

The 368 yards was a career-high for Lawrence in Jacksonville.

Tennessee committed four turnovers and allowed four Jacksonville sacks.

Lawrence’s former Tiger teammate Travis Etienne was stymied all day, netting just 32 yards on 17 carries, but the Jags had their way through the air with a combination of dimes from Trevor and spectacular catches by the receivers.

Evan Engram hauled in 11 of Lawrence’s passes for 162 yards and 2 scores, while Zay Jones had the other score and 77 yards on 8 receptions.

For Tennessee, Derrick Henry rumbled for 96 yards in the first quarter, but finished with only 121 as the Titans fell behind due to turnovers and struggled to stay close.

Over his last 5 games, in which the Jags are 3-2, Lawrence is 130 for 189 (68.8%) for 1,362 yards with 10 touchdowns an 0 interceptions.

Through 13 games Lawrence has completed 66.2% of his passes for 3,202 yards with 20 touchdowns and 6 interceptions as the much improved Jaguars move to 5-8 on the season.

Lawrence has undoubtedly benefited from the coaching change from Urban Meyer to Doug Pederson and the influx of talent that comes with high draft picks.

Jacksonville finished last season 3-14 and this was only the second win on the road in Lawrence’s time as a Jaguar.

Former Clemson football quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jags dominated the second half in a win over Tennessee

Jacksonville led 20-14 at the half and dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Titans 13-0 and outgaining them 146 yards to -8 in the period.

The schedule ahead gets tougher for the Jags as they host 10-3 Dallas, travel to the New York Jets and Houston before concluding the regular season by hosting these same Tennessee Titans on January 8th.
